Journey towards creating my foundation media portfolio

My classmates and I have just arrived to the IT room to try and create our first blogs. Having just chosen the theme for my Blog, I am starting to explore how to write a post and work my way through this website. 

Now that my confidence in this task has monumentally increased, I want to tell you why I had chosen to study Media Studies. Media Studies, being the study that deals with the content, as well as the impact of the mass media that we take in on a daily basis, is something that I find extremely useful and important. It is a subject that not only interests me because of its technical aspects, but also because of the history that it presents; it helps us understand how we got to the world that we live in today, and how our society has shaped itself. Additionally, it is important to me because of the vast amount of representation that it portrays and the way that it connects with its audience.

I have never had an opportunity to study Media Studies before, but now that I do, I am ready to dive into a deeper world that talks about media and how to analyse it critically. I am thrilled to continue updating this blog and keeping you up to date throughout my whole journey towards creating my foundation media portfolio.
